The Humble Radish

I must say. I excelled during Week 2 of Wifeless Survival. I worked out like an animal, drank black coffee by the boatload, popped hard boiled eggs and radishes like pills, tore up some spinach, and ate countless chickens. AND I managed to spend only $32.

Do you know that radishes are loaded with antioxidants, fiber, and vitamin C? They help in digestion, they improve liver and kidney function, and they help regulate blood pressure. They also pack a kick to them. Eat raw at your own risk!

The food I bought is actually going to last me through the rest of this week also. That’s not surviving, that’s THRIVING. Then came last Friday and my trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma. I traveled there in order to attend a volunteer event. The event was great, my eating habits on the other hand, not so much.

My food intake in Tulsa consisted of coffee (of course), scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, beef jerky, protein shakes (it gets better), Dr. Pepper, a Cuban sandwich, some water, a Cappuccino,  sandwiches, BBQ pork, baked beans, mac and cheese, cole slaw, a cookie, beef tacos, a Kung Pao pulled pork sandwich, Kimchi fries with candied bacon, and a pint of Banana Swirl ice cream. I’m sure I’m forgetting something. Every once in a while, you need to take a break. Whether it’s from working or from healthy food.
