After service this evening we held a short Kids Ministry info meeting in the main sanctuary. About 15 people showed up, but one took me by surprise. She was older than the rest, significantly older, but was motivated, asked interesting questions, and was quick to point out that she had a seminary education! We spoke for a bit after the session was over, she agreed to test drive Kids Ministry for one week if I agreed to print out the lessons for her, since she has no computer……
Senior Saints don’t necessarily have to be seniors, but it helps. A 40 year old who has been walking with Jesus for 30 years is a Senior Saint to me, and I would be privileged to learn from him. However, a 70 year old can provide ministries, and ministry leaders with a kind of strategic thinking and life experience that is greatly beneficial, especially if that Senior Saint has been walking with Jesus for a long time! How do the Senior Saints in your church serve?
