Ok, so I haven’t really ever lived in Orlando. But being back in Florida felt like home. It was also cool to experience Orlando like I never have before, even if it was only for a day.
Being a Miamian (We don’t really call ourselves that), Orlando only exists for one purpose, to house Disney and Co. That’s it, that’s the only thing that Orlando has and will ever be good for. I was wrong. Orlando is a city in it’s own right with it’s own culture and with delicious food.
I can’t take the credit for this experience. I have to give the credit to a friend who goes to the University of Central Florida here in Orlando. By the way, UCF also happens to be one of the largest universities in the US.
This needs to be your go to coffee shop while in Orlando. It’s very hipster so they have great coffee. Specifically, I ordered the cafe con leche, and it was awesome. Another thing, you pay what you want. Yes, you pay what you want. Pretty cool. I so wanted to give a penny, but I didn’t want to be that guy. They also have office space that they will rent you. I wonder if you pay what you want for that. Anyway, the cafe con leche was worth every penny…
Cool place. Small. Really nice people with cheap, unique food. They call themselves a cross between a food truck and a restaurant. I’d say that’s accurate. I got a hot dog and tacos, all Asian inspired. Absolutely worth it.
